    You are a Joke! The most biased review I've seen in months. I've been using this tripod for months and have zero problems. Sorry, it's not 7 feet tall. It is a super light tripod for travel - tilt your screen a little and it is Totally useable/. Also, it is Under$100.00.unlike your 4-500 dollar 10X the weight.

      Yes the tripod breaking within three months of use did bias my opinion somewhat, glad yours is still going strong mate.

    I have the Canon R6MII and just got this 24-240 lens last Friday, in the initial testing Ive done, I am very happy with it. I am a seasoned photographer with mainly L Canon lenses. Im heading away on a trip soon and wanted something versatile that would work for landscape and zooming in as well, and found this lens... Its a beauty of a lens, not as heavy as the L lenses - which I wanted/needed for travel, doesn't have the weather sealing which is a slight down fall, however that said I do not typically go out in the rain, unless its a light rain and I am shooting macro - so that will be ok! I am loving this lens, I have this and my RF 35mm f1.8 that I will be bringing with me on our trip and its now my travel kit. Super happy with it and excited to play more with it!

    • @LetsClickPhotography
      @LetsClickPhotography 6 днів тому

      Gloss (at least here in the UK) is by far the most popular consumer paper. Not knowledgable photographer choice, but at base consumer level, every high street developer, online developer or kiosk etc knocks out gloss prints by default.

    • @phototocanvaspdx
      @phototocanvaspdx 6 днів тому

      @@LetsClickPhotography Thats interesting thanks for the reply! I guess im not too familiar with kiosks, but here in the US I don't know anyone that prefers gloss. When normal consumers come into my shop and see samples no one ever picks gloss. The online labs I used to used defaulted to luster. Maybe it's a regional thing.

  • @MrRFasters

    I simply do NOT understand. For ages ALL reviews are about optical quality and then we test the ultimo's of the lens, always looking immediately into sharpness, vignetting, aberrations and barrel distortion. And when a lens scored bad in these areas - woooo the lens manufacturor. And now, with Canon trying to get all their DLSR EF(S) body and lens owners onto the R patform - now this isn't an issue any more - for software can easily correct this? WHAT a NONSENSE. A) You're dependent on the in-camera JPG generation and - let's face it - that's not ideal. B) you HAVE TO post-process EVERY raw image. Well: that works quite well when shooting 1.000 images on your wild life trip, holiday, football match or wedding shoot. Any idea how time that's going to cost you? Or how advanced your automatic correcting port-procesisng workflow must be? WTF. Generating a strong, decent, directly OK raw file REMAINS to be very very relevant and this lens SUCKs at this. I'm ranting for I beleieve these type of Hooray! video reviews are either bad reviews or we're looking at marketing sponsored rubbish. And I'm ranting for Canon will simply not UP their game when we - as photograpghers - buy into this BS of accepting very poor optical performance of their newest lenses. I'm sticking to my R system adaptor and the ES, ES-F, L series, Sigma Sports and Tamron high quality lenses and DO NOT buy into this poor quality trap.

    Love this concept Dave, because it is (for me at least) easy to remember from the acronym. My problem at the moment is still making the time to get out and plan, or even plan using stuff like Google maps, partly because we’ve had (and still have) loads to do on our new place. All being well, that time is not too far away now, and I’ll be able to crack on and make the most of this beautiful part of the country.

    • @LetsClickPhotography
      @LetsClickPhotography 12 днів тому

      Thanks Martin, the acronym was inspired by a lighting course I took years ago which used something they called the 'camp' framework (composition, ambient, modification, photography). It stuck with me and I wondered how I could integrate something similar into my outdoor photography where I most certainly needed to keep Calm!....and so it was born! Funnily enough I was chatting to another photographer last week, he retired earlier this year and said he had less time now to pursue photography than he did when he was working! Funny old world haha.

Definitely a 'What would Dave do' moment. I'd agree you are a very technical photographer but that's not a bad thing, it certainly pays off with the images you come home with. Grrat video pal. I've always regretted not getting to the top of Winnet's Pass. I've only seen it from the carpark at the bottom and walked partially up. Top of my list if/when I get back over. 3:30 a.m. wakeup time is tough but well worth it, you can always nap later! The image at 5:27 is a real beauty! Sorry for the late comment. I'm about done with the busy summer DIY projects, it'll be nice to have time and energy for ither things (including YT). Hope all is well pal! Chat soon!

      Sorry mate, missed this comment at the time and as I no longer have Studio on my phone, means I only see stuff when I sign in via YT front page.....much much better for my wellbeing but does mean that my reponses aren't very timely nowadays. Looking forward to our catch up

    I travelled to Battersea Power Station (Station) to photograph the new station, whilst there I thought it would be an opportunity to photograph the actual new site/previous Power Station. Which is an outside space open to the public, soon got approached by security, they took offence to the professional equipment I was using, and I could be taking shots into apartments (16-35mm f2.8 😂), they suggested I when to the management suite to seek permission and a permit (didn’t bother) but the site has lots of signs advising people they might be photographed (that’s mad)

    There are two five o' clocks 😮 It's always lovely light first thing in the morning, I just wish I was able to get out of bed earlier to take advantage more often. Another good video, Dave.

      Thanks mate. I was woken by my neighbours banging about going to the airport at 3.30am so thought I'd make the most of it!

      @@LetsClickPhotography Good move, it was nice light and empty fells can't be a bad thing either.
